Microdermabrasion

What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a gentle, non-invasive skin resurfacing procedure. Dead and damaged cells are suctioned away to reveal a softer and smoother surface. In addition, new skin cells are encouraged to develop with the use of ultrasound waves which improve vascular and lymphatic circulation.

How does the Procedure work?
Microdermabrasion uses an adjustable, medical grade diamond tip to brush the skin’s surface and lightly suction dead and dry skin.

Who is a good candidate?
Microdermabrasion can help to decrease the appearance of superficial scars, hyperpigmentation from sun damage, fine lines, blemishes, dull and congested skin, uneven skin tones with textural damage and enlarged pores. Anyone with these skin concerns is a good candidate however, a consultation is required to determine if this procedure is right for you.

When will I see results and what results can be expected?
Results can be seen after just one treatment. However, depending on the skin goal you are trying to achieve, multiple sessions may be required at 2-4 week intervals. Results include brighter, smoother, more youthful skin with a healthy glow, fewer breakouts and refined pores, diminished appearance of scars, a more even skin tone and renewed elasticity.

When can I return to work and everyday activities?
This procedure is simple and safe with no downtime required. Normal activities can be resumed immediately after treatment, but sunscreen should be applied liberally as the treatment can cause the skin to be sensitive.
