Lina graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from McMaster University in 2017 and started her nursing career in the hospital assisting physiatrists perform spinal steroid injections. Lina was inspired to pursue medical aesthetics after receiving injectables herself. She wanted to help people feel the same way she did – more confident. Lina obtained her Medical Esthetic Practitioner (MEPN) certification from Centennial College where she learned about skin and facial anatomy, laser and light therapy, and fillers and neuromodulators. Shortly after, she continued her hands-on training for neuromodulators and dermal fillers at the Canadian Association of Medical Aesthetics.

She began her clinical experience at Trillium Hospital as part of the Clinical Resource Team where she was sourced out to every department including the Emergency Room, Medicine, Mental Health, Surgery, Cardiology, and the Covid Unit. While at the hospital, she also worked with Peel Public Health as an immunizer for the Mass Vaccination Program. Following her experience there, she was offered a full time position with Peel Public Health where she currently works as an educator on their Training Team. This role allowed Arsema to facilitate and develop several training programs such as on-boarding nurses for the Mass Vaccination Program, Routine School Based program, Homebound Immunizations, Basic Life Support, and Pediatric Immunizations.
